How to apply?

You can apply to join The Hollyfield Schools Sixth Form online or via paper application form which can be downloaded below.

Entry requirements at Hollyfield sixth form are a minimum of five good passes at grades 4-9 at GCSE. For individual subjects there may be a higher entry requirement or specific grades needed in certain subjects. All applications are considered on an individual basis.

All Hollyfield students are offered places at our Sixth Form dependent on their results.

Admissions process after initial application is received:

  1. Students are then asked to have an Academic Reference Form completed by their current school (on website).
  2. On receipt of a satisfactory Academic Reference student is offered an interview.
  3. After a satisfactory interview student will be offered a provisional place based upon them achieving the correct GCSE results.
  4. Confirmation letter sent home offering provisional place.
  5. At the end of May a Sixth Form Enrolment Pack is sent home.

Important Notices & Documents:

Students will have to re-sit English Language or Mathematics if Grade 4 is not achieved in both.

You must also complete the academic reference form and have it signed by your parents/guardian and your current Form Tutor or Head of Year. Some information will need to be provided by them.

A Level courses have minimum academic entrance requirements, 5 grade 4-9 GCSEs including English Language and Mathematics with at least grade 5 at GCSE in each particular subject chosen with a 7 expected for Maths A Level.

BTEC Level 3 course - A minimum of 5 4-9 GCSEs including English Language or Mathematics.
