Theory Work – 2 lessons per week

Practical Work- 1 lesson per week

  • Badminton
  • Volleyball
  • Fitness Testing

Theory work

  • There is half termly progress test with a compulsory pass mark. Pupils who fall below the pass mark will have to re-sit the test. Each progress tests will cover the work studied from September including the most recently leant work.
  • There will be an end of year exam assessing all work covered during Year 10 in the Summer examination series

Practical work

  • Pupils will be assessed each lesson against the activity specific criteria and then given an end of unit assessment grade.
  • Pupils can be assessed in sports that are on the AQA specification that are not completed in school. All evidence of these sports should be submitted via video footage.
Special Requirements/Equipment
  • Students will need a textbook, exercise book, calculator, ruler, black pen, green pen, pencil, glue and protractor
  • or practical lessons, pupils will need their full Hollyfield PE kit
Home Learning

Home learning tasks will be set to include a variety of different tasks to cement and/or extend learning of key concepts as well as researching new ideas. Extended writing and presentation skills will be assessed in home learning tasks
