Important Messages: Christmas Concert & Carol Concert (St Marks Church) 7.00pm - 20 December
Year 9

Posted by: Wesley Goggin on 19-10-2018

It has been a positive start for Year 9, since taking over the year group they have made great impressions on me with their politeness and togetherness. Their attendance at extra-curricular clubs has been excellent showing a great commitment to community life at Hollyfield and I hope this continues as we enter the winter months.

Respect is an important value of mine and I would like the whole year group to show this to teachers and peers as we move forward together.

During this extended half term could we reflect on the term and start thinking forward to GCSE options as this will be fast approaching when we return. Having just had an assembly on internet safety, social media and cyber bullying could we also ensure that our students are safe online and are using this appropriately.

In Autumn 2 we will have CAS Day to look forward to which will give students an opportunity to experience different activities off timetable.

I hope all of Year 9 and their families have a great break and enjoy spending quality time together.

Mr Goggin
Head of Year 9
